Terms and Conditions

The terms Client, Owner, Pet Owner, and Customer are refer to the person contracting services for one or more domestic animals. By payment of the invoice for services the client agrees to the terms and conditions.

  • Sydney Dog Walker agrees to provide services in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Sydney Dog Walker unless arising from gross negligence. The client agrees to notify Sydney Dog Walker of any concerns within 24 hours.
  • Payments for walking services are due in full at time of the booking. Bookings are not confirmed until full payment is made. A deposit of 50% for pet sitting services are due at the time of the booking, with full payment made at the completion of the service. For all pet taxi services, the full amount is due at the completion of the service.
  • Cancellations for pet sitting, dog walking and pet taxi services advised to Sydney Dog Walker 24 hours before the scheduled booking will not incur any cancellation fee. Failure to notify of cancellation 24hrs before the booking the service fee will require 100% payment of agreed service fee.
  • Failure to pay for services within 30 days may result in cancellation of all ongoing services until full payment is made.
  • Public Holidays and weekends incur a 20% surcharge for all services.
  • All care is taken for the client’s privacy and security. We do not supply your contact details with any third parties without your prior consent.
  • Keys to access the owner’s property are supplied at the owners cost and to be supplied to Sydney Dog Walker at the start of services.
  • The client authorises Sydney Dog Walker to obtain the services of a locksmith to fix faulty locks, or if no back up key is provided to sitter or back up key left in a location on property. The client is responsible for all related charges.
  • The client authorises Sydney Dog Walker to obtain the services of a locksmith should a key/garage opener malfunction. The client is responsible for all related charges.
  • Keys remain the property of the client at all time and all care is taken to be secure and are identified by number system not an address.
  • Sydney Dog Walker will not be responsible for the safety of any pet/s, or held liable for the death, injury, disappearance, or legal consequences of any pet with unsupervised access to the outdoors.
  • Sydney Dog Walker will cease or suspend any service to pets that at any time endangers the health of itself or other pets or people.
  • Sydney Dog Walker reserves the rights to refuse to take any dog if they show aggressive behaviour at time of pick up or signs of illness and or are taking medication for transmittable virus or sickness.
  • Sydney Dog Walker reserves the right to refuse to take any dog if they show any inappropriate, abnormal behaviour at time of pick up or during service.
  • Sydney Dog Walker will only service dogs that have been fully vaccinated, are de-sexed, council registered, are well socialised and non-aggressive.
  • It is Sydney Dog Walker’s discretion if unleashed walks are suitable for your pet. We take the time to build a relationship with your pet before they are allowed unleashed with other dogs in unleashed parks.
  • Sydney Dog Walker provides services during all weather conditions, however if there are safety concerns, services will be delayed or rescheduled until it is safe for the walker and the pet to do so.
  • Sydney Dog Walker is not responsible for any damage to property of the client or others unless such damage is caused by a negligent act from Sydney Dog Walker.
  • Sydney Dog Walker accepts no responsibility for loss to the premises if the home is not properly secured by others during the service period.
  • Sydney Dog Walker can not be held responsible for pets that bite, suffer an accidental death or escape from faulty fencing or from inside the home due to doors or windows. Sydney Dog Walker cannot be responsible for any complications pets may suffer or actions of pets while they are unattended.
  • Sydney Dog Walker are not liable for fines from council, police or other authorities pertaining to animal behaviour and regulations.
  • Sydney Dog Walker must be informed and equipped to cater for your pet/s medical needs.
  • No pet will be serviced by Sydney Dog Walker unless they have current vaccinations. Clients must supply a copy of up to date vaccination proof – cats F3 & dogs C5.
  • The client will provide any and all food and provisions necessary during the service and provide full details on how to care for the pet.
  • Sydney Dog Walker are authorised by the owner to provide any emergency vet assistance needed during services at the cost of the client. Sydney Dog Walker can use any vet of their choice if they are unable to reach client’s preferred vet service.
  • Sydney Dog Walker does not diagnose, prognose, or make therapy decisions, nor does it offer veterinary services. Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinarian.
  • Owners are responsible to reimburse Sydney Dog Walker for all costs that occur while servicing their pet including all costs associated with any and all emergency visits to a vet plus the additional time taken.
